Apply Online Now!

CWC Los Angeles Schools participate in a common application process with other charter schools called ApplyLA.  You will need to complete and submit your application to CWC Mar Vista through the ApplyLA platform.  If you are applying to multiple CWC schools, families need to apply to each separate Citizens of the World school in the ApplyLA platform.

ApplyLA’s platform is powered by software called SchoolMint. When you submit an application through ApplyLA, you will receive a SchoolMint profile that will send you communication via text and/or email. if you already have an existing SchoolMint account, you do not need to create a new one. Login in to ApplyLA with your existing SchoolMint credentials.

If you have any questions about the ApplyLA platform, please call their hotline at 877-877-5057.  To reach someone about the school or any other questions about enrollment, please feel free to contact Rosa Garcia, Community Coordinator, at 424-248-0544 or email enrollment@cwcmarvista.org

Interest forms for the 2021-22 school year received after the deadline on February 24, 2021, will be held for a subsequent lottery (if necessary). This form does not guarantee your child’s enrollment in this school. Please note that timely submission of all paperwork, including proof of address, will be required if your child is selected for enrollment.

For questions about the enrollment process, please contact our Community Coordinator at enrollment@cwcmarvista.org

Families in Los Angeles have many choices when it comes to finding the right school for their child. In addition to district options (neighborhood schools, magnets, zones of choice, etc.), there are approximately 300 different independent charter public schools across LA . These charter public schools offer a variety of educational options for families, such as a focus on college preparation, STEM, the arts, career pathways, and dual language, to name a few.

With so many choices, the process for finding and enrolling in public schools should be simple. However, the current process for selecting and enrolling in public schools is very complicated, with separate applications, different deadlines, and a lack of common information about school options. The process is not working for Los Angeles families.

Parents, school leaders, and community partners are coming together to create something better: ApplyLA, a single, common sense system that makes it easy for families to understand and apply to charter public schools in Los Angeles. Families can create an account on ApplyLA.org and apply to multiple charter public schools with a single application. They can manage application deadlines, see the status of their applications, and accept offers in a single system. The platform is mobile-friendly and available in English and Spanish.

We know the need for a simpler enrollment system for all public schools in Los Angeles is urgent. LA Unified is taking steps to simplify the enrollment process for district choice options through its Unified Enrollment initiative. However, LA Unified is not including charter public schools in this initiative. With nearly 300 charter options across the city, families need a better system for understanding and applying to these choice options as well. ApplyLA is a complementary initiative to LAUSD’s Unified Enrollment system that simplifies the enrollment process for charter public schools in Los Angeles.
