6th Grade Lead - Math and Science
Tiffany is excited to return to her home of Los Angeles as she enters her seventh year teaching and first year at CWC. She is a graduate from the University of California, Riverside with a B.A. in Psychology Law and Society, along with an English Minor. She completed her Masters Program at San Diego State University in May 2016, where she received her Masters in Critical Literacy and Social Justice. She began her teaching career in San Diego and has been able to work with middle schoolers in San Diego, Los Angeles area, and various cities in China. She was inspired to pursue education because of her extensive involvement in Upward Bound Programs as a student, tutor, resident advisor, and instructor. As a first-generation college student, it is imperative to Tiffany that she pushes students to work to their fullest potential and to explore a realm beyond their comfort zone. She is passionate about teaching math as a science, exploring the world through inquiry and project-based learning, and personal growth.
Outside of the classroom, Ms. Tiffany enjoys concerts, rooting for the Dodgers, camping, traveling, running, and trying new foods. Her family and former students inspire her daily work as she continues to find ways to share her experiences with youth and college geared programs in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego, and China.
