4th Grade Lead Teacher
I grew up in the high desert of California before moving to Malibu to study at Pepperdine where I earned my BA in Intercultural Communications. After Pepperdine opened many doors to world travel, I decided to spend a year after graduation in Guatemala working with a non-profit called Story International. I spent 10 months teaching English, math, and art as part of the founding staff of a bilingual school started to serve orphaned and neglected children from a local orphanage. It was within the walls of my less than 20×20 classroom that I fell in love with teaching.
Upon returning to the States, I decided to pursue teaching as a career and began working as a Teaching Associate at CWC Mar Vista in a 3rd-grade classroom. I have since obtained my teaching credential and Masters in Teaching from Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology, and am very excited to begin my third year as a lead teacher here at CWC. When I’m outside of the classroom, I enjoy hiking, adventuring to new places with my husband, and partnering with him in youth ministry for middle schoolers and high schoolers. I am AMPED for this new school year!
