4th Grade Lead Teacher
I am thrilled to teach at CWC Mar Vista as a Lead Teacher. I am originally from Thousand Oaks, and I attended the University of San Francisco where I earned a BA in Media Studies. After college, I moved to Los Angeles to perform with local theatre groups such as The Groundlings. While performing and working in non-profit fundraising, I decided to pursue a teaching credential at California State University – Northridge. I have taught both 4th and 5th grade at Endeavor College Prep in Los Angeles, where I worked with students to promote literacy through drama. At CWC I founded Girls Club, a Friday lunch club focused on empowering girls through social-emotional circle talks and activities, collaborative team building games, art activities, and female career speakers. This inspired me to start Girls Club Camp, which I run during school breaks in Winter, Spring, and Summer. I live in Marina Del Rey with my husband and our two cats “Dude” and “Moon”. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy cycling, surfing, reading, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.
