4th Grade Lead Teacher
Hello, My name is Ellen Greek and I am very excited to be joining the CWC team as a lead teacher! I grew up in a family of educators. For as long as I can remember, life and dinner table conversations have revolved around the classroom. For this reason, I actively avoided a career path in the educational field. Instead, I tiptoed around the idea for many years.
At the University of Redlands, I obtained my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. My senior thesis centered around concepts of child psychology and cognitive development. After I graduated, I started a career as an Applied Behavioral Interventionist and worked heavily with children on the Autism Spectrum. I absolutely loved this job, but I could feel myself still searching for more. I left this position to follow an opportunity to be an English Second Language teacher in Spain. While this experience was also invaluable, I could still feel my heart pulling me home.
Finally, I could not resist the calling to be an educator any longer. I returned to the United States and enrolled in a credentialing program at Antioch University. During this credentialing process, I had the pleasure of working as a Teaching Associate as well as completing my student teaching here at CWC. I am since honored to have been given the opportunity to teach 4th grade here as a lead teacher and I could not be more excited!
I am looking forward to a great year!
