2nd Grade Lead Teacher
Carly is an empathetic and dedicated educator. She received my B.A. in English and Theatre from Barnard College of Columbia University and her Master’s in Education from Antioch University. Before moving home to Los Angeles, she taught kindergarten in New York, where she received an Internship Certificate in Childhood Education and Students with Disabilities (K-6). Despite her love for New York, Carly decided it was time to return home to Southern California to be close to her family. She received and cleared her California Multi-Subject Teaching Credential (K-6), completing her student teaching at CWC Hollywood. Carly fell in love with the CWC model, with its rich implementation of project-based pedagogy and its emphasis on social-emotional learning. She is so excited to embark on her second year teaching 2nd grade at CWC Mar Vista! In her spare time, she loves to run, read, cook, practice yoga, and spend time with her family and dogs.
