4th Grade Lead Teacher
I am thrilled to be returning to the fourth grade team for my fourth year at CWCMV and my eighth year teaching. Growing up I lived in Washington, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Kenya. I’m originally from Seattle and attended Whitworth University, where I earned a BA Summa Cum Laude in International Studies and Spanish. I began teaching 6th grade Social Studies after college through Teach for America and realized my true passion was education. I have worked in curriculum development, as a grade level leader, and as a content leader. I recently earned my masters at UCLA through Center X.
I love creating a classroom climate where students feel that they belong. I also have a background in and passion for history. My wife graduated from UCLA Law School and is working at a firm downtown, so we live in Mid City with our dog Chloe. When I’m not teaching I enjoy traveling, reading, and hiking.
