Art Teacher

I have been an art teacher in elementary and middle schools for over 10 years in charter and public schools in Los Angeles, Culver City, Whittier, La Habra, and El Segundo.  Prior to teaching art, I worked in post-production editing for Dreamworks and The Walt Disney Company’s feature and television animation studios on films like “The Bee Movie,” “How To Tame Your Dragon,” “Kung Fu Panda,” and “Dinosaur.”

Recently for my 6th summer, I taught 3 art classes via Zoom for the Culver City Adult School’s  Enrichment 4 Kids Program in the Culver City Unified School District. Prior to the summer art classes, I taught art to elementary students grades K-5 at 3 elementary schools in the Whittier City School District in the classroom and virtually through Zoom.

I will provide an innovative art curriculum by collaborating with the classroom teachers on meaningful content in order to provide emotional and cultural support for each student at CWC Mar Vista.

When I am not teaching, I love documentary films, going to the movie theater, exploring new places, swimming, hiking, long walks by the beach, and yoga. I especially enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
