I grew up in a small town in Ohio where my dad was the elementary school principal and my mom taught 2nd grade. I studied English Literature at New York University and received my Masters in Education from Brooklyn College. I love being a student and so I also completed a certificate program at UCLA as a reading specialist, a math education program at Cal State L.A., and a credential in Special Education from USC. I have over 12yearsr of teaching experience in the New York and Los Angeles public school systems. In 2009, the L.A. Times rated me as one of the 100 most effective teachers in LAUSD for improving math and reading scores.
I love the educational philosophy and the community here at CWC, where I am both a parent and a teacher, and I am excited to work with the CWC Special Education Team. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, entertaining, reading, and spending time with my husband, two children, and two cats: Oliver, Willa, Desmond, Oliver, and Ivan, respectively.
