Co-Principal, 5th-8th Grade

It is with surpassing pride and enthusiasm that I write to you as Co-Principal of CWC Mar Vista. It has been an incredible honor to serve this school as Assistant Principal this past school year. In that time, I have been struck by the passion of this community, the spirit of the students we serve, and the talent and dedication of our staff. As I enter into my 20th year as an educator in Los Angeles, I stand humbled by the tremendous opportunity to lead a school and organization with such a rich history and boundless potential to realize a vision of education that, while lofty, embodies all of the things that we know our students so richly deserve.

The work before us is significant, critical, and worth every ounce of effort and commitment that we are poised to lend to the task at hand. I believe that if we step into this space assuming the best of intentions in one another then we are well-positioned to celebrate our successes together and, collectively, learn from those moments where we may fall short. It is this process, the very same one that we strive to model for our students on a daily basis, that I believe will make our journey as meaningful and impactful as the common destination that has brought us all to this special place. I am excited for all that lies ahead and looking forward to working with Jesús, Karen, and the entire CWC Mar Vista community, to continue to grow this program into the living embodiment of our school’s mission and vision.
