Meg Barrager joins us from her native Bay Area, where she has spent the last three years running a one-room schoolhouse for grades 4 and 5. She has 12 years of teaching experience in grades 3-6 in both private and charter schools in California, Australia and France. Meg is most inspired by classrooms with collaborative cultures and insatiable appetites for learning. She is thrilled to be joining CWC Mar Vista.

Meg received a BA in French Studies from Lewis and Clark College and a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Smith College. In addition to teaching, she spent part of her early career as a school therapist and curriculum writer. She has been a consultant to educational non-profits, led workshops in design thinking at Stanford, and worked as an advanced reviewer for children's publishing houses. Meg lives with her husband John, a surgical resident at UCLA, and their cats -Otto and Spelunker. Meg spends most of her free time quilting, volunteering at the library and traveling to her sister’s dairy farm in Australia.
