Leslie Libaw - RSP Teacher
Leslie was raised in a small town in Ohio where her dad was the elementary school principal and her mom taught 2nd grade. She studied English Literature at New York University and received her Masters in Education from Brooklyn College. Leslie loves being a student, herself, and so she has also completed a certificate program at UCLA as a reading specialist, a math education program at Cal State L.A., and a credential in Special Education from USC. She has over 12 year of teaching experience in the New York and Los Angeles public school systems. In 2009, the L.A. Times rated her as one of the 100 most effective teachers in LAUSD for improving math and reading scores.
Leslie loves the educational philosophy and the community here at CWC, where she is both a parent and a teacher, and is excited to work with the CWC Special Education Team. In her spare time, Leslie enjoys traveling, entertaining, reading, and spending time with her husband, two children, and two cats: Oliver, Willa, Desmond, Oliver, and Ivan, respectively.
