Andrew Eller - Lead Teacher - 4th Grade

Andrew is thrilled to be joining the CWC Mar Vista team as a Fourth Grade teacher. Growing up he has lived in Washington, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Kenya. Originally from Seattle, Andrew attended Whitworth University where he earned a BA Summa Cum Laude in International Studies and Spanish. He began teaching 6th grade Social Studies after college through Teach for America and realized his true passion was education. He has worked in curriculum development, as a grade level leader, and as a content leader.

Andrew is particularly interested in developing students as readers and writers. He also has a background in and passion for history. He has founded and led a chess club as well as teaching chess and video game creation this past summer. Andrew’s wife is attending UCLA law school; they live in Culver City with their dog, Chloe. When he is not teaching Andrew enjoys traveling, reading, and hiking.
