The mission of Citizens of the World Charter School –Mar Vista (CWCMV) is to provide a socio- economically, culturally and racially diverse community of students in the heart of Mar Vista with an intellectually challenging, experiential learning environment that develops each individual student's confidence, potential, and individual responsibility as citizens of the world in which we live. Having opened in September 2013, we are about to begin our second year of operation with 264 students in grades K- 3. We will continue to add grades in the coming years until we ultimately serve 660 students in K-8.
We are seeking a highly organized, detail oriented, and enthusiastic Outreach Coordinator to be a part of a team of educators who will be working together to help us continuing building a dynamic school in our second year of development. The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for engaging and collaborating with families and external networks to support and fulfill CWC’s mission. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, organizing outreach and recruitment efforts, and establishing relationships with local networks.
The Outreach Coordinator must be strong in both verbal and written communication, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently. Proficiency in Spanish (both verbal and written) required.
This is a part time position (30 hours a week, $18/hour) ineligible for benefits.
